Is it Nice to Live in India?

I have plans of going there to work. But is it a nice place to live in? Are the Indians good to foreigners? Are they kind hearted and respectful? How's the cost of living in India? please tell me a lot of things about this country so when i get there, i wont have regrets. Thanks.

It is very nice place to live in India.India is one of the largest countries.It is full of mineral resources.There are so many historical and geographical places in India that anybody like to visit.There are some well reputed university of international fame.People of many religions live here together. It is a domocratic country and so many things everybidy like to live in India.These things protects India being brain drained.

I'm terribly sorry. I respect India as a country, and it's one of the places I would most gladly go to but the way you speak make it look like you were brain WASHED. I'm not sure how relevant it it to the current topic. Furthermore, most countries have historical and geographical places that people like to visit, and just the same for universities of international fame.
I won't argue with you, India is suffering from a brain drain, but a brain wash isn't what's going to keep you from it!

dude!!! i agree with bougeois...wats the response about? come on man,be honest...this type of information is gooing to be absolutely no use to the poster of this article. what she needs are hard,ground facts,not the information from the "india shining" campaign pamphelet! as much as i love my mother country and agree with all the encomium you showered upon our motherland,this type of info is pretty useless!

india is a pretty big country,so it would have helped had you mentioned which city were you going to,for every place is unique.in general,most of us(indians!) are nice and hospitable but then then again there are a few rotten apples amongst our lot(as in any place i guess). like here in new delhi,the situation isnt all that hunky dory for women and female foreigners i guess are even more vulnerable. thats one of the utmost concerns this city has,that i can offer you as a tip you can use for sure. please add the place you are going to.

India is 2 diverse..where in India wud you be movin to...
Indians in general have a gud attitude towards foreigners..bt of course lik in all societies there are miscreants
If ur are movin in frm the US u'll find the cost of living much cheaper(degree again dep on where ur movin to)...on an average pay you can afford to hire a Driver for ur car and a miad servant for House work...But u mite find electronics a tad expensive(not all some)...
Can be more helpful if u share which part of the country u r palning to move to...
