I have posted some discussions a few weeks about needing advice on ho to quit smoking as i have found out that i have rather severe asthma. I got alot of advice on going the will power route and i tried it and it worked for about 2 weeks but i have to say i was quite miserable. Unfortunatley about a week ago i gave in and had a cigarette and i smoked again for about 5 days and i felt so dissapointed. So the other night instead of coming on mylot as i usually do i seached for quitting smoking sites and OMG i found the cure. Well, i didn't but it has been found ... LOL!! I reccomend anyone that is trying to quit smoking to go to this site http://www.quitsmokingonline.com it will change your life . It is a 10 day free course but i got through the reading in about 3 hours as i could not stop and you would not believe what it will do for you! I have been cigarette free since i finished reading day 10 and wow! Did you know that quitting smoking is 5% physical and 95% phsycological?? I had no idea that quitting smoking could be so easy and in order to get the full drift of what i mean you must read this 10 day course if you want to quit smoking and you will never regret the outcome. It is awesome so please save your life and those around you and you will never be more happy doing it!!! http://www.quitsmokingonline.com Thank you all for everything and now i know that i will remain smoke free!!!

Great going. Give yourself credit. You wanted to find a way to quit and you finally did. Just think for a moment, that 5% physical---95% mental applies to everything in your life. So, the next time you want something in your life, use the same formula. If it can work for quitting smoking, it can work for other things too.

Wow... That is an awesome thought and i personally do not think that i could have came up with that myself. I will definately be keeping that in mind as i have to start my Teaching Degree in September and i think that i need to be 95% dedicated phsycologically or i may have troubles ... LOL!!!

I used that site when I quit and to this day I recommend it to everyone who will listen. The physical part is actually the easy part; it's over with in 72 hours. This free online course will address the cognitive-behavioral apsects of quitting, which are essential if you want to be successful. I re-read the course several times after I quit, and it continued to be helpful throughout the process. I also highly recommend the book "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr; it's an awesome book which also reinforces the psychological principles of quitting. If anyone is thinking about quitting, they should begin the process with these 2 resources, which I feel are essential to success. Ronita, congratulations on being smoke-free! Keep up the good work, 1 day at a time. You will never regret it.

That's awesome!!!. You have added years to your life at the minimum. Smoking causes a lot of problems we don't even think about. My wife was a smoker for a lot of years and she could never get pregnant. We read that it could be a factor so she tried to quit. She faltered a few times and finally went thru a quit course at the hospital. It helped but in the end it was her desire to have a baby that won out. She quit smoking and drinking, started working out and before we knew it she was pregnant. She's been smoke free for 12 years now. I wish you continued success.

Hi. Many thanks for posting this one to help me and several others like me trying to quit smoking. It's great that you have quited smoking in just three hours and by going through some written things. I have taken my clue from you and will soon be visiting the site. I have tried so many times of my own but couldn't quit. I once again start smoking after two/three days automatically. Hope your advice can help me too in quitting smoking as I have started hating it but ain't able to quit. Good Luck for a smoke free life.

Thanks Ronita, I will go to the site and check it out. I know smoking is in the mind, and if I want to quit I can, and easily. So far, I just really haven't wanted to quit though, so any effort has been unsuccessful. My wife wants me to quit, though, so it is worth another shot! Congratulations and I wish you the best!

Congradualtions on your success. Thanks for sharing the site. I plan on reading it tonight as soon as I get my little one off to sleep. I have been trying to quit myself. I went to hypnosis a few years ago and they were the one's who instill it's all a state of mind.

Yes in fact in the 10 day course it also talks about hypnosis. Take it from me this needs to be read by as many smokers as we can also get to read this. It is almost a guarantee that you will succeed once you finish reading day 10. Also let me know if this helped you at all keep us updated!!! Good Luck!!

We went shopping tody so yes but even those who have quit should at least read the first few pages it is awesome. I had no idea that the hardest part about quitting is the fact that you are made to believe this. It is soaked into your brain all the time that if we quit that it will ultimatelty stop the universe from spinning.... LOL!! I am laughing now because it was all really so simple. If you read eve the first page you would know what i mean!! God Bless!!

I wish you the best and know that even though we have never met, you have MY support in your fight to quit smoking! It's probably a very hard thing to go through, but my great grandma did it cold turkey after smoking for 70 YEARS!!!! It eventually did take her life, but I was proud she finally gave it up. Best of luck to you, you won't regret it!

Thank you, I will be checking this out; I've smoked for fifty years and know I have to quit, but it is very difficult. I once started using Zyban, and that would have worked quite well, I think, if I had been more determined. So it is in my mind every day to quit, just need a little boost. Thanks again.

Very good wishes to your new smoking free life. I hope you will stick to that you will never smoke from now. I am very happy that you understood the ill effect of smoking. But I feel sad also by thinking so that you spend good 15 years of your life with this poison. I advice you that you should take some Yoga practice to rebuild your health.

you should try nicotine candies to relieve your agitations, drink plenty of water, you might really gain some pounds because of eating instead. my psyche for quitting smoking is. i don't want to be depended on some things because they say the habit is acquired on young adults ages.

In my case smoking is more than 95% mental for me. I smoke not because my body desires it but because I see other people smoke. When I am alone, I never smoke. But when I am with my friends who smoke then I feel like smoking too. I will try the website that you gave and I hope that it will help me quit smoking for ever.

I think that this site will in fact help you quit smoking and also help you to know that yes quitting smoking is in fact 95% phsycological and 5% physically for all of us. No one differs in this ratio and once you finish reading or even begin for that matter you will know exactly what i mean and i guarantee as long as you stay open minded about it than you will also reamain smoke free! Good Luck!!!
