That is a good question. I ticle him sometimes but not all kids enjoy to get tickled. If it dosent work out i star making funny faces and if that also dosent work out i act as if i am crying and i found out that the child might not laugh but it will sop crying. True it is very difficult to make a crying child to laugh.

It would depend upon the age of the child. Say 3 and under, blow on their tummy or make like your are eating their neck & upper shoulders to get them to giggle. 4 - 10 tickle them or do something silly, make faces. 10 and over tell jokes to, try tickling or do something silly. The best solution is distraction, offer to do something else with them or offer them a different toy, ect.... If this is your child, spend more time with them and you will learn what works with them. I would play "Hide and Seek" to make the crying child laugh:) But it depends on the age of the child as well. A small child below 3 years will not be able to stopped crying unless she/she has his/her mother. But for a grown-up child Money can work miracles:)

I dont hve children of my own..but what i did for my cousins was that i sit near them or make them sit on my lap and softly start speakin abt somethin and ask them questions in between.. the topics r ofcourse somethin they relate to n questions r ones they will b able to answer..
