It is a bit like in real life. People choose their friends because they have some common interest. Keep on asking and answering and eventually people will ask you to be their friend. Also you can ask other people yourself to be friends. But never be upset if you get a denial. Sometimes people do deny friends on Mylot if the person is new and does not have many posts, because they don't know what the person is going to be like. Be patient.
