I have been trying to find a place where I can get a free website that I can change as I like, or at least one that doesn't cost very much. I know there are a lot of free ones that are full of ads and are impossible to get into search engines, I already have on of those. If you know where I can find a place where I can get a free/inexpensive domain name and web site hosting, preferrably one where I can change/set up the website without downloading too much software, please let me know. The free website I have now is only my little junkyard where I keep track of links, banners and html codes for the endless amount of programs I have registered for. If your'e interested in taking a look, the link is: http://www.freewebs.com/meirabull No need to tell me, it's a junk yard like I said so there's no thought behind how the links and banners are posted on there.

Thank again. I tried the wetpaint one but it looks like it won't let me add any html in there so that one won't work for me.

I would recommend checking with your own ISP first. Many Internet Service Providers supply webspace by default when you register for a connection, although it does sometimes depend on the type of service that you have applied for. I my case I registered with Plus Net for a broadband connection, so I was given 250 Mb of webspace. This is far more than I am ever likely to need, and even a much smaller offer would suit your purpose. Go to the website of your ISP and log into your account using the details that you access the internet with. You can now look around to see what is actually provided for you.

If your ISP provides a reasonable amount of space, then you could consider segregating it into 2 distinct directories and hosting 2 seperate websites there. Providing that you use seperate suffixes then you should not encounter any conflict.

I do have a website from my ISP but I use that for other things. I have tried a few different free websites since I posted this discussion. They all promise you the world before you sign up but when you have gone through the sign up process and all the work of putting the site up, most of them won't work unless you sign up as a paid member lol. I guess it's true that there is nothing free in this world. I'll just stick with my ugly website at www.freewebs.com/meirabull and keep stashing my links and banners there. In the meantime, I am working with some other people on a great new program that is a sure winner. If anyone is interested in getting the scoop before it hits the world wide community, let me know.

I think I will start putting it up soon. As i havel also wondered about free websites, I have a couple of blogs, but that,s not the same. Hopefully i can make my own domain name, as I will use it to front my photo and art work. I will give you guys the link when I,m done. I love this site, people always give us tips and linke to good stuff... c,ya

You can try http://siteburg.com/ - it will show a banner though at the top of your webpages. But it is good atleast to start with.
