now they come with more features.
but only cost high.

It is not practical to have laptop when there's a child in your home. It is so sensitive and it cost you big amount of money to have it repaired.
I allow my daughter to use our computer and we had to replace the mouse for so many times even i already told her a million times to be careful with it. At least i only need to spend P250 :(

in a parent's point of view, desktop could be their choice :) i may not have considered yet having a child use our laptop since our baby is only 5 months old. if he's older and capable of using a computer, i'd probably have a different say on this topic, i'd probably say that desktop is more practical :) in our case, at the moment, laptop is more practical, coz when we go out, we can bring our laptop when visiting a friend or relative, share images, music, and other files :) thanks for pointing that out though! :)

Since I only usually use the computer at home, I prefer a desktop because of the wider screen. It makes surfing the net easier with a desktop because a laptop has smaller screen, which makes it difficult for me to read. But if I'm the kind of person who usually goes out and need to access the internet or computer outside of our home, then a laptop is definitely more convenient.

well i prefer laptop because its not too heavy so i can bring it anywhere i want and it occupies less space than desktop ......

i still prefer a personal computer because i can use this in a long term basis. although laptops occupies less space and are quite handy there is no room for upgrades and maintaining one is really costly. unlike personal computers, their spare parts are replaceable and they stay on trends technically speaking.

Well, I prefer desktops. Desktops last longer than laptops. Desktops almost never gets outdated while laptops do. It is more customizable and I do not know any laptop that can be customized by component. =) Laptops are portable and that's about it. =)
