how to take care of dry skin in winters?

My skin is very dry and sensitive.The weather in michigan is so cold that skin remains dry all day..I apply a lot of moisturiser but it is of no use.we keep the humidifier on but that doesn't help either.What shoild I do to take care of my skin in the cold winters.Please give me some suggestions.Even home remedies would be good.

Maybe you can try some facial mask that is sutiable for dry and sensitive skin. In winter we should use some products that can give our skin lots of water. Good luck.

Have you asked some skin professionals about your problem? They may give some very good advice on how to deal with those situations. I have not yet experienced your experience because our country (the Philippines) don't winters. But here, we almost have similar experience, dryness of skin during cold seasons..

i think home remidies are good for dry skin...
you can try following tips..
1.apply ground nut oil before bath leave it for 5 mins and then wash your face with besan flour..
2.apply freh milk cream before going to bed and leave it over nite..
3.massage your face by using butter once in a week..
4.take steam to your face once in a week
5.avoid using cosmetics
