What do you think about euthanasia?

Somebody call it physician assisted suicide, some others call it mercy killing.... different ways to name the same heavy subject.
Who can decide when to switch the life power off?
is it legit?
can the man act like a God?
i would love to read your opinions

I'm a christian to, but I think that if that person is very sick, and if that sicknes is wheet no cure, dat is OK, if that person wont that, wheet no pain end that person life, if you dont do that then automaticly you torch that person! Life is good, but sopher is very bad!

Man has always acted like God in so many ways
as to ending another person's life by commission
and by act of omission.
Euthanasia is acceptable or legitimate in some countries
like the Netherlands and loathsome to some people.
Some people don't wait for a doctor's help and decide for themselves while in nursing homes and some gets away from it.

I can't understand why if our loved pet is sick we can take it to the vet and hold it while the vet puts our loved one down and the suffering has ended and the grieving and healing can begin. If my hubby gets sick and is suffering with no hope for relief all I could do for him is watch him suffer. How retarded is that? Our pets we can help but our spouses no, suffer. I would be the first person to help a suffering friend or relative end their life if that is what they choose over the suffering and pain. The laws must change, humans have a right to die on their own terms and I hope the laws in Canada change before I have to watch anyone suffer needlessly!

You raised two separate issues.Turning life support off and euthanasia are two different things. Euthanasia is when a doctor actively assists a patient in ending their life. In many cases this is the merciful thing to do as it ends needless suffering. To remove a person from life support is not euthanasia. It is allowing them to die. Life support is playing god because the patient is only alive because of medical interference in gods will.

Euthanasia maybe acceptable in other country but still for me it is not acceptable. Yes we can act like God but we can never be God. It is not our custody to take off one"s life even if its for a good reason. Remember "the end never justify the means".

people gave us free will. so i guess at times where we see people suffering and we're already given the chance to decide whether to let them suffer more or to end the pain, i thinks its not actually an act of killing the person. but the pain they are feeling.
