well not true in all the cases.. my family wont leave me..it depends how are the circumstances.. generally people tend to ignore them as and when they grow up and starts to concentrate on their own family(wife and children)

Unfortunately, what you say is more true than not. Especially in this country (USA) there are so many "retirement" homes, where families send their old parents to go to die. I know the ideal situation is to take care of one's old parents, at their home, as best they can. In this country however, this can be difficult because of the nature of families now..everyone is working and going to school and and no one really communicates with the older members of the family because they're just not interested in what they have to say. Old people are just too much trouble, too. (Good thing when these old parents were young, they took care of their little children, even if it was inconvenient and difficult alot of the time). Also, alot of young people have no respect for their parents, due to being raised in a dysfunctional manner, mistreated by the parents. So of course they'll not want much to do with their old parents. We do owe our good and loving parents, however, and we should take care of them and honor and respect them always. They are full of wise and insightful thoughts..if we'd just take the time to listen, we could learn from their experiences.
