I'm not talking about Clinical depression...but that 'down' feeling you can get. I notices the other day a lot of posts from MyLot users saying they were depressed. Well, for the last 24 hours I have not been near my computer and I feel great!!
I think prolonged use of a PC can make you feel 'down'. Today I have exercised, done DIY and played with my daughter - instant cure for the PC blues. Try laying off the computer for 24-48 hours, go for a walk...whatever... and let me know if you get the same 'lift'.

I don't think its the computer per se that causes the feelings of depression in the sense that it is the emissions from it or whatever. I think that prolonged sitting at a computer communicating with people that you don't really know just creates a sense of 'Is this my life?' My computer was broken for about a week and I felt completely bereft and didn't know what to do with myself which is really quite sad. I would imagine that whether laying off the computer gives you a lift or not really depends on what is there to do instead - whether there are meaningful real-life interactions available to you.
