Cancer - how aware are we?

I work in healthcare insurance in UK and believe it or not, we have maximum claims for cancers. We have identified ceartain regions are more prone to cancers than other and genetical influence is also there. Cancer Reaserch UK says ' one in three will get cancer at some point of their life'. How concerned and aware are we about this. Is there anything we can do to change the scenario. Awaiting opinions.
