It is an event known for a lot of kissing couples during the month of hearts (february)who gathered to participate in breaking every year or every country's record to be able to be on the Guiness Book of World Records. My husband and I participated on this last 2003 when it was first introduced to the Philippines. We were just boyfriends then. Though it's very straining but knowing that you participated to be on the Guiness it's really fun. I've seen a lot of kissing couples but the most attractive on that event is seeing even the old ones, like on our grandparents ages, still kiss and show their affection on each other. That's very cute that they still love each other after being married all their years. Ever heard and tried this event every year? If not would you and your partner will try to participate?

Lavapalooza is a competition of how many kissing couple can participate in a Valentines Day. Last Year champion and get the Guinness World Record for having a 5000 kissing couple who participate is the Hungary. Maybe Philippines can over crowned Hungary if they will make it for at least 7000 kissing couples.

Too bad, you missed the chance, LOL. We are there at around 4:30 pm but then we left at about 6 pm and go home. I was able to watch the live feed at a tv station and wa amazed of seeing a lot of people gathered there. You can barely count them all at the time that we leave.

I seen that a the news today. I wonder who won the competition? No I wouldn't do it. I am too old for that kind of stuff, thats for young people. I wouldn.t do it anyway. maybe other people.

It's not just limited to younger ones, Marcia even the old contributed too. When we attended the first season of it here in the Philippines, there's still about at the age of 75+ grandparents kissed their way out for a guiness record :)

I am missing something I don't know about this. Sounds like an interesting game though? I would like to join. I need a partner! Who wants to volunteer rofl! I like the idea that you can be in a guiness book of record and be famous. Maybe if given the chance and if the venue is near me I'd try out. I am a very adventorous person and very outgoing. I am sure I'll go for it.

It's really fun sis :) it was held here in the Philippines last night. They are doing this 3 years in a row. Philippines is the title holder for 2003 Lovapalooza then Hungary got a 5000(not exact) kissing couples but then Philippines got 6,124 kissing couples last night. But the organizers said that it might be almost 7000 pairs because there's a lot of kissing couples participated but not registered.

This kind of event is really fun for the month of hearts.. and that was really cool that you have joined its very first event. I saw it on tv too and if i remember correctly the sponsor then was Close-up toothpaste. Even if me and my ex-gf (read as: wife) would like to join this one, i guess it will be difficult for us coz we live far from Metro Manila. I wonder if i saw you among those kissing couples then.. Hmmm.. let me do a memory flashback..lol!

I wonder if you'll ever see me on that thousands of people, hahaha! :) We wanted to join the event too last saturday but we have a chaperon which is our daughter. We can't stay on the venue too much longer so we have to go home at 6 PM. :)
