why msn is so popular?

I'm not a big fan of MSN. I use it occasionally. It works well, but I think the real reason it's so popular is one word Microsoft. Microsoft has it preloaded with every copy of windows. That means virtually 85% of people in the world have it installed on their computers whether they want it or not. The original versions were kind of primitive, but the windows live messenger looks promising.

Most of the ppl around the world use Windows operating system. and MSN comes with it , so this can be 1 of the reason of being popular.

i dont think msn is more popular then yahoo !

I don't think msn is the first chat software (messanger actually), I think ICQ is release more older than msn messanger,and I also don't think msn is so popular more than Yahoo messanger right now, maybe it depends on region, on my country yahoo meesanger is a lot user than msn, almost all my friends also using yahoo messanger more than msn. Just IMHO.

msn has great options but yahoo is also very popular i think yahoo is not behind msn

I would have to say it is because it is the one of the first one's anyone ever heard about so it became the most popular of choice and once someone had this they recommended it to their friends and it went from there . Everyone I know uses it so that is why I stuck with it . Have checked other one's out but I think most of us always tend to like the first one we got used to which would have been msn .

i love going on msn, i use it pretty much everyday, i like talking to my friends, meeting new people and having a laugh really, its good on webcam aswell as it can be intersting :D
