What are the best discussion sites for linking to your own site?

As I can tell, most of us here have some other website or blog that we are trying to get traffic for. What chat sites are more lenient about putting your link in the chat? The only other discussion site I've used is Yahoo Answers. I had success putting my link in my chat without getting in trouble. What other sites don't mind that kind of behavior? I've looked at Yahoo, myLot, and orkut terms and agreement. It seems that they are trying to stop this type of thing. I can understand that they don't want you to wander away from their site, but I think it's better for people to share their ideas. Thanks for your help.
