Do U feel that computer science is a Engineering?

Most of the education systems say that computer science is also engineering i.e B.E.
But the name itself says its Science...!
Do U feel that its correct?

I can advise that my employer sees it as similar enough to Engineering to hire people with degrees in that field. In general we look for people with strong IT degrees but also consider people with Maths, Sciences and Electronic Engineering. Personally speaking I agree with my employer to put those degree disciplines in the same category. Otherwise we might miss out on some potentially good employees. Hope this is of help?

Sure....,
But here my point is that, to learn computer 3 yrs is more than enough. In engineeering we are takeing more than one yr. Is it needed?

i think that computer science is definately an engineering if it involves the hardware as well as softawre

in my country we have conputer science and computer engineering. I think the difference is their level of mathematics involve. one is more on software and the other on hardware design. I think computer science if taken with a masteral can be considered as a software engineer. anyway its just a title
