It's ENGLISH not U.S ENGLISH

I recently installed a piece of software on my PC. The options for the installation language only included U.S English and not English. This provoked me to think about what it meant. When you tell somebody what language you speak you do not say U.S English or American, you say English. Are the Americans slowly pushing their way in to take over the English language? After all we have seen the Americans do this in historical accounts. They won the Second World War according to various false film storylines (where the Brits are usually portrayed as the under dog) How long does the world have to suffer from America's patriotic bullying? Stay tuned to find out.

There are little difference between the English that is from England and the English from America but I think that you are right and the Americans want to take over the English Language.

Yep, I can understand that Americans have developed their own branch of English because of their wide cultural diversity but I would still like English as an option. Thanks for your agreeing and thanks for your post!
