I am thankful for a wonderful husband who loves me, for three gorgeous teenage sons, and for a lovely home that is ours. I am grateful that we are in relatively good health and have good food to eat each day. I am grateful that we have family and friends who are close to us.
Excellent topic. It reminds me of the American holiday of Thanksgiving. In Australia we embrace just about everything American, yet the one thing we should - a day to be grateful and thankful for all we have - is one that we ignore. I understand we can't celenrate the Mayflower, etc, but I do like the sentiments behind your wonderful holiday.

Thanks for your answer. I think its important to be thankful more often than Thanksgiving. I believe that thankfulness opens the door to more blessings. It seems that you are a truly blessed person - so you must be thankful for what you have. :)

I'm thankful for life.
More importantly my family. (my son, wife, parents etc) i thankful for friends and everyone who's good. I would say nearly everything but some things i'm not thankful for but overall i do believe people should be selfish. (most who aren't thankful are just that)
Kudos

I try so hard to be thankful. I got an email one time that showed how we should turn even everyday nuisances into a 'thankful' situation. It was things like, next time I am complaining about having to get up and go to work I'll rmember to be thankful that I have a job. Next time I am having to walk so far from the parking lot to the store entrance, I will be thankful that I am not wheelchair bound. I try to do that now. If I catch myself angry at some little thing like that, I'll try to turn it into a positive! As with you, I am personally thankful for my wonderful husband, 4 beautiful and intelligent children, my loving parents, for my health, for my job , and my warm home.

My husband lost his job a month ago. We had no money for food or to pay bills. I am thankful to God, for answering prayers, as he starts work next week. And I am thankful for the church and the people there, as they helped feed us, and gave us money and so much love, support and prayers.
I am thankful to have a wonderful husband for 30 years.
Bless you, M&M

I've been there and its a hard place. I'm glad that your husband is starting work again. We went through a time where I was laid off for six months and my husband was laid off for almost a year. We lost our house and a car, and our son was about 1 1/2. We've rebounded. In fact, we have bought the house next door to the one that we lost. And this one is bigger. Of course we have two more kids too. :) Something that may help you out some is Angel Food Ministries. http://www.angelfoodministries.com You can get a basic box of food for $25. It changes each month. The only thing is to find a church near you that is an outlet. We've been doing it for several months and its helped the grocery bill a lot. I get 3-4 basic boxes at a time. Good luck.

LOL I get days when complaining and whining is all I hear too!
I am thankful for my family ~ I have two growing boys of 11 and 13; and my husband who really does love me and tells me and makes me remember it every day.
I am thankful for my 81 year old mom who lives next door to us on our property. She is more helpful to me than she knows and it's so nice to have her just a few hundred feet away.
I am thankful for a good job that I do enjoy.
I am thankful for my home - it's the kind of place I always wanted and I know it's value (and that's not in monetary terms)
I am thankful for my friends and extended family.
Everyday I try to find something to be happy about, or thankful for -- if you ever need some more cheering up drop me a line! SMILE!!
