Donations and the Printservice

Is anyone here that has ever received a donation from someone on deviantart or sold a print? If yes it would interest me how much you've got and what you'd sold. Because I'm trying to get a few prints sold but it isn't wondering me why I don't get them sold... Maybe I just need to get better at photographing or need more luck to land a good shot.

I've sold a print. I've only got around 40 cents of something for a print. Deviantart will only be giving you a portion of the whole print price you've sold. It is quite hard to sell prints on DA.
If you really like to earn money out of your artworks, just tell your watchers that you're selling artworks or doing a commission works for bucks so that you'll get the whole share of the item.

Yeah you're right, but what way of selling would you recommend? I mean if I would tell them that I sell them then I should be able to tell them what exactly I'll sell.

well im not sure what u mean exactly by donation but several months ago someone bought me a 1 year subscription... i also have some prints though havent sold any through DA yet.. thats ok with me though since i sell most of my stuff through cafepress anyways :)

Nice luck you got that someone bought you that subscription, I wonder if I will have such luck some day ^^

I've had several requests for prints, but no one has actually committed to buying anything. It's hard to sell prints and I think the stuff is a little too expensive for most people to be willing to buy. I hope to get something sold sometime though.
