New Employment Model...

I think there are too many problems with getting & keeping jobs these days. Recruiters are actually counting key words in resumes to winnow prospects, and employers treat most staff as temps.
I think we should all become temps that can be brought in for projects as needed, through a national network. All our information, skills, etc are listed in a database. Either online work or otherwise. We set our desired rates. Between this and completed assignments, our prospects are weighted for the next assignment.
Temping but no intermediary but whatever web page organizes it, and everyone's involved.
It doesn't sound like fun at first but how many office workers are all that interested in what they're doing now? This would allow greater experience, and perks like more working at home.
A rough idea but interesting...
