I know if mylot pay us more for quality content. But what is 'quality content' really is? I read in tips from many users here, a quality post must be at least 4 lines. The question now is, is it really the quality post if the post have 4 lines minimum? I think not, I think there is 2 types, longer post and quality post. Mylot pay us with longer post or they read the content too to judge the quality? Give me your opinion guys.

Hi Anton. Welcome to myLot. I hope you enjoy many happy hours here. A quality post has several features. It must refer to the discussion. It must be courteous and not abusive. This doesn't mean you can't disagree: you can, but you must be courteous and not abusive. It should be a reasonable length: about four lines is OK. Other myLotters responding to the discussion will rate your responses. If they do not relate to the discussion, or say nothing, or are abusive or discourteous, or are one liners, such as "I don't know" or "I agree" they might give you a "-". You will gain one point for one response to any discussion and for one comment in any discussion, and get paid for these. When myLot "cleans up" the forum, some discussions and responses will get deleted. If one of these is yours, your points and earnings will go down accordingly. Keep posting good discussions and good responses and you will spend many happy hours here.

Is this true? If so, that's mean if we can get paid well even for posting a single line discussion or reply?

we donot know exactly how Mylot administrating staff decides the quality of our posts . Perhaps they use a semi-automated system to check all the responses posted by a member and calculate the earnings . The length of a post indirectly increases our earnings , but it cannot be the main factor .

Well, I think mylot pay us from the long of the post. Because I think it's impossible for mylot read every posting that have made by 68.000 mylot member. That's just my opionio. How about others?

Hi AntonYW, I wish I could tell you exactly what a 'quality content' mean. But I am not working fo MyLot. lol So I only can make my own assumption, which unfortunately can be totally wrong. I think MyLot pays us when our response does related to the discussion, regardless how long or how short our responses. Also with the help of some algorythm they have, doing the math. And yes, they do read the content of our discussions manually now and then. There are people work behind this system and responsible in knowing that the system work accordingly, to their standard.

I have tried 3 lines of post but same earnings, so I don't think it needs four lines or more.

It is definately more than longer posts. Because if you make a post that is long over 4 lines long, you could end up actually hurting yourself if it is of poor quality. It is definately Quality here that counts. And from what I have learned and seen, your Rating helps as well. So if you can keep always getting a lot of "+" as well for everything you do on here, that helps out as well. Good Luck, and Welcome to myLot.

the 4 line of the post and rates. if you have longer post but every body know its paste. you will get (-) rates. Be careful

I think long posts are frequently the better quality posts, but as you pointed out it's not always true. The amount of earnings you get has a lot to do with how many + ratings you get. I can't confirm this though, but it's just my speculation. I think the thing to do is just to answer the question the best you can and hope you're recognized for it.

I think it pays consideration to the lenth of responses. Although of course, you cannot simply put a hundred blah- blah's to lenthen your posts. Content comes in when you are chosen as the best response, not to mention you gain friends if you post sensible comments :)

Just relax, have fun on mylot and do not worry about the money. Im sure that the more natural and spontaneous your answers are the better the quality and lenght of your posts will be. This will directly effect your earnings. So check out your favorite topics, and start posting in there. And goodluck!

What is quality to you. To me, it would be something riddled with a thought and presented in a reasonable fashion, where sentences make sense and the content makes a reader sit back, sip their coffee and think about it for a minute. I'd think if you type just to rack points for the number of letters you use, that probably doesnt constitute quality work. If you feel good about what you've written, then it probably falls under the definition of quality work.

In facts I believed the qualities posts not neccessary to be a long post/responses and I don't really think we need to put up at least 4 line s like suggests by some others in order to make it a qualities posts/responses.For some extend a short responses which might just have few words might answers the topics perfectly and some long answers might not a good answers or out of topics.

There are definitely longer posts that have little validity and there are some that bring a great point and must by needs be longer to explain the point. These posts are paid for by length and not by validity. Our earnings are updated each morning by an algorithm and I have never heard of an algorythm that can distinguish quality. The star rating is based upon the quality of your postings overall and the contribution that you make to the my lot board as a whole.

I'm a new member of mylot and I don't get any payment by far,I think the administrator of mylot will check your response whether it is according with the thread that had post.If it is NOT according with the thread, it must be a spam to the discussion, a content of bad quality. But how to judge the thread, i don't know either.

i think mylot pays for long posts...it becomes impossible to read every post so one judgment can be done on the lengh.....though this is just my speculation....

Well i guess they look for both quality and quantity cause a response that doesnt make sense or is awkward or has nothing to do with the topic in discussion doesnt help the site in any way.So i think a mix of both does the trick.
