i first learned the baking of lasagna. nobody taught me the procedure. i just followed the instructions from the box of pasta lasagna. gosh, i could not believe myself! the baked lasagna was a perfect taste! my friends & relatives loved it. next i want to know how baked clam is done. so i sought help from special someone. he taught me the procedure & the ingredients needed. gosh, another achievement. they loved the taste. next was baked macaroni. and it was successful too. enroling in a culinary arts is too expensive so what i did i consulted a cook book on how to bake. it's nice if you learn by yourself. you'd be very proud of your goal. one thing i could not bake.......a cake. i know it's kinda complicated. the cake should not crumble when you cut or slice it. but i want to learn how to bake a perfect cake. someday....

Practice makes perfect. I'm thinking if u are good in following instructions or you really have a skill in cooking or baking. What ever it is, you must have a dedication to anything you are into to archive your goal. Hoping to taste your lasagna soon.

I agree with padredamaso, practice certainly makes a difference and you could just be a natural. If your interested in doing a culinary course, Im sure you can find some free ones online, Ive come across quite a number of sites with free download movies with instructions and others with step-by-step pictured instructions. Alot of local community centre's sometimes hold small baking classes, which are run by volunteers and other members, this helps to keep the costs down, so maybe there is something in your area you could look into. But what ever you do, keep it up. And if by any chance you make a mistake remember even chef's do (I've seen alot of chef's burn food).

Cook books are a great way to learn to cook. After all, that's why they write so many of them. A friend of mine had made lasagna many times before, so she wasn't reading the directions and she forgot to cook the noodles first. It was crunchy! I think now they even make noodles that you don't cook first, but that's not what she had. Good luck with your cake.

I am not eager to learn how to bake, but somehow I thought of how it feels if I bake my own birthday cake or my loved ones'?. :-) I know baking is hard to learn but for you it's not. Hey when you able to bake a cake, let me have some ok?
