I just signed up at a gift registry for my fiance and i. I have also set up a wedding website with details on how my fiance and i met as well as wedding details and photos of my fiance and me to be able to share with all the people we will be inviting to the wedding. We are sending out "save the date" magnets and I wanted to inform them of the gift registry and wedding site at the same time. How would i word it properly?

I would just put your registry information ON your website and then put your website information on the Save-the-Date magnets because then people can look at your site and SEE that you're registerred there.

Princess, you're welcome. I have received magnets with the website on them and then went to the site and realized that they put all their information on the internet tastefully that way! Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I agree with Lizlibelle, that's a very good idea. Also, if in doubt that some on your list have a computer, you could send a little card along with the magnet.

We aren't setting up a website for our wedding, and not many people that will beinvited would know how to access a computer, let alone a website lol so displaying registry info on the website idea wouldn't work for my particular situation. I was considering dropping in a small note with details along with the invite but wasn't sure if it could be done tastefully, so I think I'm going to go with my other idea. I'm going to let key relatives know, such as future mother in law, my parents, my sister and so forth and hope that word gets spread along th egrape vine. We are actually planning on doing ahoneymoon registry through our local travel agent rather than a traditional registry, as we already liev together and have almost everythign we need (except for big expensive stuff that i would never expect people to buy us). this way people can donate to our honeymoon, either anonomously or witha note, whatever they are more comfortable with...

What company did you use for your website. I found this really great company that has 24 hour customer service in case you need help with anything, they have bunch of really cool designs and tools like RSVP tracking online, quizzes and registry links. It only $89 a year and I have code for $20 off so it's only $69 for 12 months of service and hosting! That includes the domain name and everything. It's neat, check it out www.WeddingTag.com and the code for the discount is: WED8J

my dad did it very un tastfully but everyone who knows him wouldnt have expected anything different. He slipped a bright green paper into everyones invite (without his now brides ok she didnt know he did this) it said we are remodling my house so any gift cards from lowes or home depo is all that we want!!!! Oh my gosh I was stunned when I got my invite, and so was my dads wife when everyone called and said that it was soo funny. She was very upset and Im surpprised that she didnt call the wedding off. But thats how my dad is. We used a website for my wedding too and it tastfully displayed or registry so I didnt have to worry about it but for the few people I knew didnt have computers I asked my brides maids to call them (mainly older family members without computers) and let them know about our registry but made sure they knew they didnt have to go thru our registry either. Best Wishes
