Have you ever been a victim of cellphone theft?

I have been a victim of cellphone theft three times already. Two times, the phone was pilfered from my backpack so I stopped using backpacks from then on. The third time, my bag was actually slashed open and my cellphone was stolen also while I was riding public transportation. have you ever been a victim of cellphone theft? what does your government do to stop this crime?

I have been a victim of robbery twice and on those two instace I've lost my cellphone. The first one my purse was snatched by a guy on a car (imagine, a CAR!!!) He almost killed me too since he planned on running over me to get my purse. The second one, I got mugged by 2 guys on my way to the office. They got my whole bad and they even punched my in the face and arm to stop me from screaming. I hate those experiences and I really hope that never happen again.

Oh my goodness. You have truly awful experiences with this mean guys. And to think that the other guy had a car. I don't even have my own car... We should be more careful when commuting and walking alone in the streets.

it happens wid me once.when i had 2 cellphones on that day one was for repairing & the other which i used .it was snatched on road.

Mine was stolenm from my house from the dresser. I had kept it there for charging and my maid stole it, I searched her house and everything but it was I think sold off by her with in the hour of stealing, before IO could even realise it. I felt so bad she was later caught as her hubby was trying to steal AC fronm the car of our neighbours then they called the police and on interrogation we came to know that she her hubby and her mother and brother were all professional thieves. That phone was goft from my brother from his salary. I really feel disturbed whenever I remeber that. I hate her for doing that.

so sad ... i have never been a victim of cellphone theft tho sum of my frnds and relatives have been sum even threatened to be shot if they wont give their phones ... our govt has started a cell phone blockage program ... u report the stolen cell's number and they block its id over all networks ... it should work ... other idea is to have connections and cell phones in pairs ... so that a specefic cell phone should accept a specefic sim and no other ... PEACE !!!

fortunately, not yet :) and i hope it remains that way :) i have lost one though, i'm not sure if it's stupidity or what... i placed my cellphone in my jean's pocket, not thinking that my pocket was to low so when i was on a commuter cab, i didn't feel it fall out of my pocket. boo hoo! from then on, i always remeber not to put my cellphone on my pocket whenever i'm wearing that jeans! lol!
