My brother is a ragnarok certified addict! He plays for hours even missing meals. Its a level up game, thats why guys go crazy playing it, he's hook to the hype of levelling up. Besides, my brother is so good at it. He makes money from playing. People pay him to play their character to level up.

that is some reason why people play online games. it is not only ragnarok that involves money. their are some games lik MU who players spend real money to get online items.

ragnarok online is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (dont know the exact term heheheh). it is a virtual cummunity for players who want to play, chat with other charcters, trades, buy, sell, interact, fight with others, make friends etc.... the reason why other get addicted to Online Game is because they can be some One that they are not, they can do every thing they want, they feel free and relax in the game. that is some of my reason why i get addicted to ragnarok. why dont you create an account in ragna? just try it with your bf, and u can get marry their /no1

Well, it's more of a fad really. I've played it before in '03 and '04 while still in university and splurged huge amounts of money and time maintaining my account and in-game avatar. Eventually it came to naught as the grinding (act of staying at one place to kill monsters for experience) leads to stagnation (means the character development reach a certain plateu or flat point where nothing much happens), stagnation leads to boredom and boredom leads to quitting the game. If you had the patience, perhaps you could wait for his enthuasiasm to die down. The 'cookie-cutter', "me too!" gameplay and lack of guild support will help accelarate the process. Believe me, its not the first nor the last i see your kind of predicament.
