How do you cook a bacon?

My kids like to eat bacon,but when I cook them sometime it all crisp/burn or sometimes it is too oily. How how and what is the prefect way to cook a bacon?

nothing beats tons of paper towels, just have lots of paper towels ready for the bacon to be placed in after it is cooked. You can actually BAKE it because baking it can make the oil go out as well. so you can bake it in low heat so it slowly gets crispy and less oil for you. grilling it might not be a good idea ;), of course I was just kidding.

I love bacon. It is my personal preference for the bacon to be crisp, but not burned. I fold a paper towel on a plate to put the bacon on after I take them out of the pan. This way the excess oil goes into the paper towel and the bacon is not so oily. Some people don't cook their bacon as crisp. They like the bacon to be more soft but since it is pork, I like it well cooked. Part of the secret of it not burning is to get bacon that is a slight bit thicker. When it is really thin, it tends to burn easily.
