Since i started my new job, I haven't gotten around to reading any books, which I used to love doing. What was the last book you read? How was it? What was it about? Would you recommend it?

the last book i read was the 5 people you meet in heaven. it was a great book, very inspiring, i guess you can say. i would definitely recommned you to read it. well, actually, i guess it all depends on what kind of books you're into. i'm sure people would label it a "girls" book. so if you're into blood and guts, don't read it.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven - This book written by Mitch Albom is story that follows the life one man. How he thought his job as unimportant, how he blames the circumstances in his life for his broken dreams, how he was haunted by his past actions and finally redeeming himself in the end.
The last book I read from cover to cover is Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet In Heaven. It's a good read. It explains that our actions affect other people as well even strangers. I am also liking Robery Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad (I'm still halfway through this book).

to clownfish: Rich Dad Poor Dad is a good book. It teaches you investment in the simplest possible way. That is why I love it. It teaches you how to manage your expenses and your salary. to Maddysmommy: I haven't read it yet but I plan to look for that book because I heard a lot of good reviews about it. Yes I agree with you that Mitch Albom is a good writer.

Have you read Mitch Alboms book called "For One More Day"? -its a great read. Its about a story of a mother and her son, and their relationship that lasts a lifetime and beyond... the eternal power of a mother's love. He is such a great writer!

Well the last new book I read was Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I loved it. I had just read The Da Vinci Code so had to read the prequel. I really enjoyed it and trying to figure it all out before the end wasn't easy, a big plus for me. I hate figuring things out too early.

This wasn't the last book that I read, but it was one of my favorites. It's a very easy read, and I don't know if you like chick lit books, but it is in that genre. It is called Little Earthquakes and it's by Jennifer Weiner. You've probably heard of it. It follows the story of 3 friends who all have babies, and all have very different lifestyles, and a 4th friend who lost her baby. I would definitely recommend it...it's a light read but emotional and funny as well.

I have just finished reading a book called "The Red Dahlia" by Linda La Plante, and really enjoyed it. It's a murder/mystery set in the UK with lots of twists and turns. I don't usually read this type of book, but a friend gave it to me as she had enjoyed it so much. I'm so glad she did. You should get it. Linda La Plante is a good writer, and a few of her books have been adapted into series on British TV.

I must add this . . . I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" a couple of years ago, and could not put it down! It has influenced my life ever since in financial matters, and shown me a completely different way to look at how to be a success in life. Go for it clownfish - you will enjoy the invaluable lessons to be learnt in it.

Hi! I just finished The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. It was interesting. The book was different from the movie, but both were enjoyable. :-)

The last book I read was Atonement by Ian McEwan. Absolutely amazing book in my opinion. I recommend it to everyone who has some free time to devote to a great book. It starts out a bit slow but I promise, it picks up and eventually you won't want to put it down.

I just read Little Children by Tom Perrotta. I coudln't stand it. There were some creepy characters like a child molster and a pervert husband. The book really depressed me, actually.

A painted House by John Grisham. The story is not like the other books of John Grisham. But the thrill and suspense is still there but there's more heart into it. It's about family and how one innocence is is lost to the world of reality. It is a good book...I think this story was made into tv movie...it was shown on hallmark a couple of weeks ago.

The last book I read was "The Glass Castle : A Memoir / by Jeannette Walls. Its a true life story about her upbringing and childhood... talks about poverty, near starvation, and how she and her siblings survived through it. A very touching and loving story. I would recommend it if you like these types of books.

The Time Traveler's Wife was very good. It had it's problems but all in all was a very enjoyable book. I've been also reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and it's very good and an easy read; there are 12.5 books in the series so far. lol. That's all I've read lately.
