I have watched GIA last night and it moved me. I loved the scene when she told her boyfriend that she has AIDS and he kicked the table our of frustration, Gia stood up and cheered him and she said "I think this happened because God has a bigger plan for me." It showed her inner strength amidst the turmoils of her life...that she was able to regain her faith before her life ended. What do you think of her as a person?

I agree with you that she regained her faith before the end of her life. She was a lonely person who had a mother that did not seem to know how to truly love her. She didn't get the acceptance she needed and fell into the modeling world which can be cruel and harsh. The herion was her choice of escape that ruined her career. All she really wanted was real love. In the end she felt love in knowing she would be with God. Bittersweet.

Oh, There were prostests at the side of Gia's mom.. She said that the Character of Gia in the movie isn't the real Gia she knows and that Gia's mother there was not her real mother. as far as i can remember, the line of her real life mom on the news was "I am not the monstrous mother that was portrayed there. And Gia was not a grown up woman, she's just a kid."

Wow! I never saw this movie but the title rings a bell, especially when you said that Angelina Jolie was in it. I don't know what I'd do in that situation...in his OR hers.
