a string of succesful new productions has allowed german films to take a market share in their home country of 25 per cent in 2006 for the first time in decades.among them is Tom Tykwer s film version of patrick sueskind s novel parfume-the story of a murder.filmed at a cost of around 50 milion euros has thus far been seen by a cinema audience of 5.3 milion.
