What about purchasing a laptop with AMD ATHALON PROCESSOR?

My laptop runs on a AMD Turion 64 processor. It is fast but generates lots of heat. So I think Intel is better.

i have a intel processor in my laptop.. so far ive been satisfied with it.. but amd is more of a stationary computer.. because it is good for gaming and such.. but if you want a laptop, you might want to go for the intel because intel's are good for business and laptops are usually what they are for.

even i am thnking of buying a laptop which has an amd processor. i dnt want to switch to intel. i am a die hard fan of amd and i am very muh satisfied with its performance. i am using amd for last 8 years and i have not faced a single problem. and i still have the old process running although it is in full dirt. and this amd athlon xp is also very nice and i think i will stick to amd only. it has better performance than intel. i will try to get a amd dual core on the next upgrade.

I think that is not matter AMD or Intel but which of that processor and which of series of that processor less energy consume acording to laptop as the topic.

well right now i would say that if you want pure performance and can afford it,go for intel processors...... if not AMD is best bang for the bcuk right now....

Choosing a processor depends on the activities you want to perform,,,If you are buying a laptop for multimedia and gaming then i would suggest you to buy AMD...,If its for office or normal use then buy Intel....It all depends on the reason you are using it....Think smart buy smart.....i would suggest you to buy laptop one with AMD processor....Agin Choice is yours......:)

Well Both are eqully good. But I would prefre Intel Pentium

I am using intel desktop yet but i will buy a laptop in near future but i don't have enough idea about AMD Athlon Processor...

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing.It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2.

I heard that AMD produces lot of heat ofcourse performace is good. I prefer intel pentium than AMD. Pentium is smart procesor.
