Have you got a blu-ray or hd-dvd player or burner? How much do the supports cost? Are they reliable?

No, I don't have any. I'll buy only after these items have settled well in the market. That will be the time when it is off its first phase and thus comes with better and improved features. Prices will become competitive, too, as always, new technologies come with a very high prices. They are always unreasonably priced.

I have not bothered with this technology because the price is still well beyond reason. It would cost a great deal to purchase a Blu ray burner in the first place, and then there is the problem of media. Blu ray disks are still hard to find, and when you do find them they would cost over $20 each, so it is not a viable technology in my opinion.

The only people I know of with blu-ray players are those who own PS3's. The technology is just too expensive right now. HD-DVD players are only $100 if you own an Xbox360 so I know a few more people with them. And honestly, when hooked up to an HDTV, I don't see any noticable difference between the two. So if you're thinking of investing in one, I'd recommend an HD-DVD player for now. I'm not even sure if blu-ray technology is going to make it.

Yes, most of us will take time before we take hold of these new items which are being introduced in the market.
