im 36 yrs old , i left home at 16 and have 3 children 19 ,17 , 11 . only the 2 youngest live at home. i live with my partner of 7 yrs who dosnt realy get along with the kids all that well. the 17 yr old is a problem child and has lived with his dad for the past 6.5 yrs but has now come to live with us. my mother thinks that she can come into our house and yell and scream at us and put us down as parents and that we shouldnt be stressed about it. i know that she is only doing it because she is worried about my kids but hello.... arnt i old enough to make my own mistakes. i dont care what mistakes she has made she cant change hers through me.. what do you think and how would you react.

I would honestly feel the same way you do....You are a grown woman raising kids of your own and that in itself IMO earns you respect or rather SHOULD have earned you respect from your mum...and parents (i know one like this) who try to relive their lives or correct their mistakes in their history through their own children drive me absolutely BATTY! And I'm sorry but regardless of whether or not your mum is "worried", putting you down as a parent is WRONG! and uncalled for IMO..
