Yesterday's plane crash in New York

What is your view on what happened? I can say that I understand why people reacted the way that they did. I understand why everyone panicked and their first thought was it was another attack. It is a little erie that it was 5 years and 1 month exactly since 9/11. I think the city of New York did an excellent job at responding to this incident in an organized and timely fashion. But one serious question still remains....Why, after what happened 5 years ago, was a plane able to get so close to a building, no matter what the size of the plane? Though it was only a small plane and didn't cause a massive catastrophe, who is to say that 100 terrorists couldn't get ahold of these planes, load them with explosives and do a lot more damage by crashing into buildings all over the city??? Do you think we are safe? I thought we were a little more safe...until yesterday. Especially living only 45 miles from the city.
