Well, I am talking about in the book but it is alright if it is even a scene from the movie.
For me I really like the encounter with Frodo and Lady Galadriel at LothLorien, where Lady Galadriel takes the ultimate test on herself.
"You are wise and fearless and fair, Lady Galadriel," said Frodo," I will give you the One Ring if you ask for it. It is too great a matter for me."
Galadriel laugh with a sudden clear laugh..........."
"....In place of the Dark Lord you will set up a Queen. And I shall be not be Dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the sea and the sun and snow upon the mountain! Dreadful as storm and lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and Despair!"
......
"I passed the test," she said."I will diminish, and go into the West, and remain Galadriel."

Battle of Helms Deep is my favouite scene, but Sams speech at the end of TTT is also very good. The ended half an hour of RotK is also very good, and emotional.

Yes, the Battle of Palenor fields. The coming of Rohan was breathtaking, and the fight between Eowyn and The witch King was impressive too.

Yes, the last movie have the most special effects from the whole movie. The battle of Pallenor was one of the best battle in the Moviedom.
But personally, I like the First movie most, because that is what introduced me to this wonderful world of Middle Earth.

I do have a favorite scene in the movie, I think it around the second part, where Gollum is having a conversation with himself. Quite a scene at least for me.

In the movie, it was in Two Towers the sence with Sam and Frodo during they were caught by Faramir at Gondor. When Frodo was so hopeless and tired of all the things happening to them. Sam gives him a words of in couragement. No matter full of darkness and danger they where it just a passing thing. A new day will come and it will shine clearer. They are holding to something that there are still good in this world that's worth of fighting.

That was indeed a beautiful scene. It gives hope and courage not only to Frodo, but also to the viewers. It is not so often that a scene could move a viewer that much. But that one did.

I loved the bits with Eowyn the White Lady of Rohan and the bits with Faramir because he's so cute.
At the end of Return of the King, they end up together I think. The movie doesn't actually show it but its mentioned in the book somewhere.

I have not read any of the book but i have seen all the three parts in movies. I like all the three parts. But my personal favourite scene is from the fellowship of the rind. It comes in the end when Frodo leaves everybody and takes a small boat alone then comes Sam who just dive into the water without even knowing how to swim. That part is my favourite. I feel very good when i see that scene. It has touched my heart. The battles scenes in part 2 and 3 are also shot very well.

Pff.. this is a hard one.. a lot of scenes are nice..
But.. i try to chose one.. my favorite scene is from part 1 of the trilogy (The Fellowship of the ring).. at the concil when the fellowsip starts! There u can see the modesty of Aragorn, the "war" betwin Dwarfs and Elfs, the intelect of Gandalf and the courage of hobits!
"The readers are spare in two: the ones who allready reead Lord Of The rings.. an the ones who will read LOTR" Suday Times about this great trilogy.. Lord Of The Rings!
Have a nice day!
(sry about my english.. it`s not the best) :D
