Flim actors/actresses becoming politicians and social workers

I think they had learned more about the social problems through their flims and their audiences. And also their vote bank is comparateively more.

a cynical point of view would suggest that the popularity of the movie star would be the pull for the politcial party to adopt them as candidate because the more popular, the more likely they are to win and therefore progress the policies of that party. I am not sure how making movies makes movie stars know and learn about social problems since a lot of movie star are highly paid and live in very cocooned worlds like hollywood and bollywood which is a million miles away from the real life most of us live.
