What kind of wedding did you have, or are you planning?

My husband and I eloped and got married by a Justice of the Peace on a camping trip. We did not tell anyone until we got back. Then we planned a full Catholic Mass wedding and huge reception for 2 months later - so we celebrate 2 weddings; our families remember the big wedding date. What about you?

We got married in a small church. Our daughters were our flower girl & ring carrier. I had 4 bridesmaids & 3 groomsmen. Our reception had about 100 people at it. We got married in Sept. & had a fall themed wedding.

We were married on Valentines' Day between church services. (It was a Sunday). I planned it, and made the decorations with a friend of mine. We invited family and the church. I had only been in Texas for about a year and a half, so most of my friends were from church or work. I think we ended up with about 75 people. We went directly from the ceremony into the family area where we served cake and punch. They Saran wrapped our car and filled it with wadded up newspaper and about $200. in bills. We had to sort through the paper to find the money. We were done and out of there before the evening service.

Mine was Cinderella, with princess decoration and heavy gown plus 2 hrs hair updo etc. It was boring and painful since I'm not into high heels and make up stuffs. My original plan was to elope, married and honeymoon in a tourist resort, but our families thought it was not polite. Well we got married anyway so that's the important thing.

When I got married we had very little money. I made my own invitations. We had a small cerimoney at a Methodist church. My family was there but his was not because they were all out of state. The ceramony was nice and we had a small reception back at our home. I loved it and would not have changed anything. When we reached out 20th aniversary my husband asked if I wanted to get remarried in a big church with all the trimmings. We are a little more financially stable than back then but I told him know. My wedding in my eyes was perfect.

My partner and I got married a year ago, and it was very private. We had it in a small place, because it was a secret marriage. But now, if we will be given the chance to renew our vows, I want a beach wedding. It's so romantic and the beach itself sets the mood. So sweeeeet.

i had a small june wedding with 80 guests and held both the ceremony and reception at the hall,i wore a long strapless white wedding gown designed by Marys,my wedding was pretty traditional except that my husband and i changed a few of the rules,we only had 2people in our wedding party, since i was not married in church i did not wear a veil--instead i placed tiny white flowers all over my hair
