Avatars!

my avatar does not have anything what to see with my nik but I have chosen the Crow , the film I like of more

I think it is to do with Internet Safety. I have no idea who you are, or what you really do in life. I do not want a picture of myself being shown to 68,000 people and I do not want my real name discussed either. Did you know that with the right software, someone can take your name scan it into the computer, find out who you are where you live and then committ identity fraud, its that simple, and not everyone is innocent on the internet. People are always phising, and trying to get our identities which is why I never give out my true address until I know who the company is and why they need to know that information. Be wise, be safe and take off your own picture, before you too are a victim of identity theft and fraud.

I have used several different avatars so far, and it is a simple matter of using an animation that appeals to me. I can understand the people who use their own picture as an avatar, but I much prefer to use an abstract image such as the one that I am currently using.

I choose the avatar of a character from a video game that I think is cool (Vincent Valentine from FFVII). I don't tend to put my own picture because I don't like to expose myself to much in the internet.. I only give my photo in some forums :]

I made mine out of two pics. Pretty easy to guess which two. A Dr. Pepper can, and a Mountain Dew can merged so that you can only see the Dr of the dr pepper and the Dew of the mountain dew. I chose to do this because I don't really care to put a picture of me up on here. My opinion might not be as respected, me being a teenager and all.

I chose my current avatar of a soaring airplane because Travel is my passion. It personifies who I am and what I like to do. For myLoy, I think chosing friends and people with similar interests is easier by reading their discussions and looking at their profiles rather than looking at a picture of them.

It's my picture. I guess some people want to keep their anonimity. I think it's a good idea but I have already placed my photo in the past, so I did this instead... so I won't be surprised at a mall one of these days and hear "hey, that's the girl from myLot!"...
