Who is a leader?

" A leader is someone who teaches people so that they know, shares with them so that they can grow, and enlighten them so that they can have hope" I have been thinking about the qualities a leader should have, i stumbled upon this quote and found it interesting. Who is a leader according to you, what qualities does it take to become a leader?

My definition of a leader is some one that helps people HELP themselves. I know this is a short statement, But find it impossible to expand. thank you for your question
