Child speak...

Have your children said things that just made you laugh so hard? When my daughter was 4, she caught me crying in the bathroom. I was just sitting on the edge of the tub, and she stood silently in front of me. Then all at once, she said, "Mommy, why is Daddy bi**hing at you?" Well, I had to laugh a little (though I'm a firm believer that if you don't laugh, they won't use those swear words anymore), before I told her that little girls should never say words like that! But inside I was laughing so hard! I can honestly say--she made me quit crying!

One night when my daughter was approximately 3 or 4, I was trying to save time and popped her into the shower with me rather than bathing her separately. I had finished washing her and was shaving my legs. After I finished shaving my legs I laid the razor down and began to rinse my legs. My daugher looks at me with the innocence of youth and says, "Mommy you forgot to shave there" as she pointed to my private area! It was one of the few times in my life that I was speechless.

I was coloring with my daughter one day and she was coloring a picture and proudly told me she was done. Well after looking at the picture I said she forgot somethings and pointed out what she needed to color yet before really being done. She promptly turned around and told me to quit my bit**ing!!! I neverr laughed so hard and I had to walk away!!

Isn't it funny, how you have to restrain yourself, for the sake of your child?! Kids are great!

We were out to dinner the other night and my 14 month old looked up at the ceiling and said "Ahhh-hoooole!" just like the baby in Meet the Fockers! We'd always joked about him learning that, but never expected him to do it. He didn't know what was going on, but we thought it was hilarious!

my 3 year old daughter started this new thing. when she farts, i tell her to say excuse me. she always used to but now when i remind her of what she needs to say she says "but mom it doesn't stink". as if if it doens't smell she doesn't need to excuse herself. so funny.

The other morning my husband and I get up and my 5 yr old son is already up lying on the couch. My husband says. "So how did you sleep? you sleep okay?" My son still sleepy just nods, so My husband says "Me too, I slept good, but too fast?" My son thinks about this for a minute then responds "Yeah me too, I didn't even see it." . . . Tring not to laugh my husband respond. "Wow! that is fast."

My son is almost four and has this thing about telling everyone to be careful of things when they are leaving, like "watch out for ghosts and monsters and skeletons" (yes he was fascinated with Halloween this year) One time he said "Don't hit any toilet paper people!" (He was talking about mummies!)
