I believe so. Fresh water rivers and streams flow into the oceans and carry salt and other minerals in small amounts to the ocean. There the water evaporates to become rain while the salt and minerals remain behind in the ocean. Hence, over time the ocean is becoming more salty and mineral enriched as more and more fresh water laden with salt and minearals flows into the ocean to evaporate while leaving their salt and minerals behind.
