i have heard that magnetic feilds created by the mobile phones can have an adverse effect on us.i have also read in a newspaper that mobile phone users are 2.5 times more likely to develop cancers in the area of brain adjacent to their phone ears. do you believe in all this? What kind of cellphones do you suggest is safer?

There have some studies saying it's a problem, others saying it's not. It the phones are a problem, it sounds like it would be the really heavy phone users who are most at risk, people who are on the cell phone constantly.

I don't think this has yet to be proved, there are still arguments about whether mobile phones are dangerous and lead to cancer, but I err on the side of caution, I don't particular like mobile phones, I only use them to text and very very rarely use them to phone people, I like it for emergencies if I break down in my car it is useful. There could be a slight risk, but there is a risk in everything we do, so I wouldn't worry too much about it!

I'm less worried about the magnetic fields and microwaves than I am the morons that drive around talking on them, ignoring traffic lights, stop signs and pedestrians. There is no safe cell phone; they all have their down sides. Using a hands free device can put you at a safe distance but scientists still say that there are dangers to using them more than 30 minutes a day.
