Who loves Ugly Betty and why?

What I love about this show is that true in the life of make up and cover up.Choosing the fashion magazine as the place where an less than average girl is working , carries the reality of life , it is a sacrifice that people like betty do that make the kind of life of stars available.

I am also a big fan of this. I have to admit when I saw the previews of this show, I didn't think much of it. But I started watching it and got hooked. It is great to have a show that gives out the message that beauty is not on the outside.

First of all, it applies to my life in a way since I'm also in publishing and I've always felt like 'Ugly Betty' but from the show I have learnt what matters is your IQ and EQ. Looks is not why people hate you. They hate you because they're envious of you - everybody wish they have my job kinda thing. Secondly it touches a lot of current issues like being a single mother, men not able to commit, office politics and dating issues. Its too awesome I can't get enough of it. After watching about 17 episodes now, it kinda inspires me to chase my dreams. Very motivating to see Betty so succesful, Christina doing all she can (good or bad) to take her fashion design dream skyhigh and Daniel working hard to not be criticise by his dad...

I love it because Betty is not afraid to be herself. She's clumsy and gaudy but also funny and smart and loving. I also love the colors they use on the set. Betty's outfits are so catastrophically cute too.

I think the show is well liked because at its center is this very real person. Betty lives in one world and works in absurd world that tests her values at every turn. There are a lot of layers to this show that is why it is fun to watch.

I love this show because its about the average girl. Betty isn't ugly per say especially considering how beautiful the actress is in real life, but she's not perfect. She's intelligent and manages to work at a fashion magazine despite not being fashionable. It makes me and others feel like anyone can possibly achieve the impossible. I also love how she has guys gunning for her despite her supposed ugliness. It is very realistic and inspiring.

I am a huge fan of this show even though I've only watched 2 episodes of the show. She's very smart and funny and also hardworking. Plus she's loyal to her boss and tries to help him get out of trouble all the time. Yeah, it is realistic. It shows how difficult life would be in the fashion world when one is not so fashionably conscious. Life can be cruel if one don't have good looks and the body. It's kind of true that it's better to make a good first impression. Betty certainly did not make a good first impression but she did leave a lasting one. For all Bettys out there, I hope they will all succeed and achieve what they want in life. They definitely deserve the best.
