Salaries in Pro Sports are out of this World

Don't get me wrong I love to watch sports as much as the next guy but, I find it hard to understand why these guys should be paid a million or in many cases much more a year to play a game most of us would gladly play for the wage we earn now. Yeah I know if you cut the players salaries then the owners just get richer which doesn't exactly sit well with me either. I mean here you got these guys playing a game, making millions of dollars, and on the other side of the world there are millions of people starving to death. Somehow we as a society have our priorities all screwed up. For me I've got to the point where I don't watch a whole lot of sports any more except for olympics,international competions such as world cup hockey, womens hockey, and the canadian football league mostly because these atheletes are playing for the love of the game and not the money. I can't speak for anyone else but for me I just seem to have lost intrest in most pro sports because I just don't want to patronise something that has become far to important and really does very little to better the quality of life or help the world in any real way.

Personally if they take time away from there familys and work hard on reaching there clubs or sports goals and those who pay 'em are foolish enough to pay then i can't moan.
Football players (the real football) do alot. they train, spend time learning and doing promotion for the club and on top of that they have to play a match which i'm sure most people couldn't last for 30 mins never mind 90.
Don't get me wrong i think what they get is alot. Doctors derserve better pay but people still moan about them, actors do movies which don't involve much hassle they get a stunt actor for the hard bits and they get payed more than a footballer for just on movie. there's alot of things which pay more than they should but at the end of the day they get it and nothing's going to change. I'm not jelous of how much they make because i don't care. =)
Really you shouldb't be so bothered.

I totally agree and its not just the sports people. Singers,groups, musicians and we car'nt forget the politicians. Why are they worth so much money! It just seems so unfair that there are starving people in the world and these people are paid so much and living a life of luxury. people will do all sorts of things for money, you only have to take a look at the way people kill native animals for their hides and tusks etc. exporting live animals and making them suffer all in the name of MONEY.
