My close friend died!

Lenie went to sleep last February 8 never to rise again. They found her cold body the following morning. She has been suffering from diabetes and hypertension for some years already and that might be the cause of the death.
Lenie has been my very close friend since 1964 when we were still in college. And her family and I became close friends too. She is from Davao City, Southern Philippines. I have gone to their place for a number of times. Her children lived with me in Manila. I should want to go but I have no money. MyLot earnings of about $13 is not enough. I'm so sad. What shall I do?

Condolence. I hope that you could do something so that you would have enough funds to spend to go to Davao City also to visit the family and spend vacation in that very beautiful place in Southern Mindanao. It's very sad to lose a close friend.

Arsenia, I'm sorry to listen to this sad news, and more so, for you do not have the money to go out. We are in the same boat. I'm passing through an extreme financial crisis and really do not know what to do, to get rid of this problem. Hope God will bless us to overcome this trouble.

I think we've all been through this. It's tough to know what to say in a situation like this. I've lost my mother a little bit over two years ago, & it is hard. Anyway, I have an online friend who lost his father, & about 2 weeks ago, he lost his sister's daughter.
If the family understands that you cannot go, I am sure they will be understanding. Maybe you can send maybe flowers, which might be expensive, or at least maybe send a letter or a card at least to the family. There is also always waiting until you can go visit the family, then you can go to the burial site & pay your respects then.

Is there a way that you can borrow money from a relative or a friend?

I'm sorry to hear that. How sad! Yeah the money situation is hard but just wait until you can afford it and visit her grave. I am sure that she would understand that money is hard and the trip expensive.

Sorry for your friend. But this is ultimate fate no one can escape from it. We all should pray for her. I to lost a close friend in accident, i still recalls the moment we shared together. Friends are one of the greatest assets of human kind.

I am so sorry for your loss and for your friend's family. Maybe you can contact the airline and they have bereavement specials. Maybe you can borrow the money from your family or a friend. If not, just honor your friend in a special way.
