why is it so hard to find thought provoking dissusions on mylot lately i have

There are spammers here who use bots to posts hundreds of discussions that are just text scraped from other sites. Add in all the newcomers who start off thinking they're going to make a fortune posting one or two word discussions or asking questions that don't even require sensible answers, and it becomes a real job to find good discussions. That's why it's a good idea to friend any people you find interesting. Then you can go to your friends latest discussions and find something worthwhile.

not that I have the majic answer but it may have to do with people spending so much time on MyLot. When first here it is all new and easy to find something interesting. When you have been here awhile however it begins to get to familiar or perhaps your requirements get more stringent. If you think this is bad try Yahoo Answers. You make no money but you get a whole different perspective on people. And it is not good.
