This site is really cool. If you are planning to travel anywhere in the U.S. (mainland and territories), you can click on the state and get all kinds of travel information including information about the state, fast facts, weather, travel deals, resorts, hotels, restaurants, maps, and much more.
What is really cool is that they list the special festivals, activities, and events that are popular for tourism in each area along with the dates and travel planning advice. You can request official visitor's guides also.
There is really a lot of fantastic information here:

Travelling in America during the nineties was fun. In about 40 trips we visited 19 US states.
God! How I wish we had access to such a site then. Seeamerica.Org is an awesome brand built by the Industry Association. So the credibility of the site is huge.
From a tourism development perspective - both domestic and foreign this site is what the American travel industry needs to boost itself from the post 9/11 slump.
Thanks Laurie. It may be a while before we travel significantly - our eldest is 7 and the youngest on his way! But we will remember this site, when we travel to the US next.

Congratulations!!! When is the baby due? And how many are in between the unborn and the 7 year old? I can understand why you wouldn't be able to pick up and travel now, but it sounds as if you have seen so much of the world already! You are very fortunate. I just found out that I have another Godchild on the way, and I'm so excited!

Don't you travel with your husband's racing, or is it all local? I know that around us there are several local speedways, but I thought that the drivers were from all over.

Nice link Laurie. We travel close to our home state. Hubby is always questioning me about what to see and how to get there. He thinks I should know everything there is to know about every state in the USA. This link will be very helpful to us. Huggers to you.

Don't you love the way men can play "helpless" when they want to? And then other times they think that they know everything! Can't live with them, can't live without them... Hopefully we'll both be back to work soon and able to afford a trip somewhere!

Oh wow Laurie, thanks for such a great site! We used to be able to plan vacations months in advance and write to the chamber of commerce of our destiantion. With two teens who are involved in so many programs, we are finding that we are planning our vacations much more spur of the moment! This site will prove so useful for my family! I just spent 30 minutes on it, it has everything!! My husband and I are college professors and have our summers off, so we like to get out and about! We will make good use of the site!

I'm glad that you found it useful. I found it because I was looking for things to do in the Phoenix area this spring. It does have everything you need. I envy you and your husband having summers off! It's almost like being retired, being care-free for 3 months every year. Enjoy!
