I usually tag my discussions but i never used 5 words for tagging. At the most i think i use around 4 or 5 words. Why did you specifically ask if we use 5 words or not.Has it something to do with earnings?

Nope, I use the words most like the discussion so that they people that are interested will be able to find it.
Why would anyone used the same 5 word? Seems like it would defeat the possibility of reaching the maximum number of people for responding.

I had no idea it was so important to tag them; much less did I have any idea about the "5 word rule"! I guess I had better start ~Donna

I normally tag mine too, I try to use as many words that I can, that relate to the topic i'm discussing. I usually use five tag words, but I have on occasions just used four.
I also tag, when I respond to a discussion, which sometimes can be just two tag words, never more than four usually.

Yes I do .. I try and pick out the most meaningful words .. sometimes it might only be 2-3 ... but mostly I manage to find 4-5 words that fir right in with the discussion ..
Wouldn't it be great if the tag box was on the same page as where you write your discussion out .. that would save heaps of time and probably make it easier for MyLot too

Yes I do tag all discussions. The tags are there to sort by. So if someone is looking for a specific topic- they'll be sure to find it- If it was tagged. I want people to find my discussions and answer them-- Makes mylot more fun, so I do tag them. Sometimes I might not have 5 words to classify the discussion or response but I try to. Sometimes I have more than 5 words.

I am led to believe that it is best to tag each discussion I go through. There must be a reason for it, otherwise, mylot shall not be asking us to do it. AT most times, a single word or two will suffice.

It is very important to tag all the discussion topics, so that when ever you want to recall, you can get it through search. It helps mylot classifying the topics according to the tags. I tag all the discussions and I also tag whenever I give response too.

yes i always put tags on my responds and post.
i do that to organize my interest and things here in mylot, and it helps a lot,
you can easily find on what interest you want to post or reply.

i dont tag all my discussions because i never started any yet. although i do tag on all my responses and i usually put like 3 words. i do this so ill know which one i have responded, but now i forget to check if the tag box is there, so i response to discussions i responded before accidentally.

I don't think I've ever put a tag on a discussion. I don't see what the purpose is. I haven't found a way to search by them, not that I've really looked though. I prefer to just search by my interests, and look at the topic to see if I want to read further.
