I am tottaly depress now becose I just came from India. (I am Indian) Every kid there is PT in only 12 M or less (mostly less). I have decided I am going to PT here in next 2 month I don't know how but this is my target.

They is no point setting a goal in something like potty training because this is something out of your control. First and foremost, why are you depressed? If it is because nothing has been happening, its probably because your child is not ready. If you push your child too much, chances are it's going to take even longer than normal

dont bother about how fast her cousins were PT. Concentrate on seeing the signs that she is ready. Eventually she will be. Just remember not to push her or it will take even longer.

I've have trained three and am working on getting #4 trained. I have never started before 2 1/2. At 15 months they just don't understand or have the control to do it yet. In every case I've seen of very young training it is really the parent that is trained. The children didn't really know what they were doing or why. The parents just put them on the potty at very regular intervals until the baby went and called it trained. Changing diapers is much less frustrating than dealing with soiled clothes all the time. Give her another 6-9 months and then start trying. It'll be better and easier on both of you.

Oh my... My little girl is 19 months old and she does not understand what is going one. But I did hear a little trick. If your child wakes up with a semi dry diaper and can have a dry for about 2 hours during the day chances are they are ready for it. How on earth do they get kids to petty train when they can barely walk? Mine talks up a storm but just does not understand what somethings mean. I have put her on the potty but she just giggled. Good luck! I still think it is way too early. Give it time.

i think your trying a little early to potty train. dosctors say that kids don't have the muscles in their stomachs to hold in their pee until age 2. this is what my doctor told me and lots of other experts i've talked to. if your baby is not ready i'd wait. even if in idia you say they should be potty trained by now but all kids are different and learn at a different pace. i'd wait if she's not ready.
