Even though I have been in hospital before for a laparoscopy for removal of ovary & tube over 10 years ago, I still hate hospitals, and very nervous. It was our wedding anniversary Friday my husband took me away to try and take my mind off tomorrow. Now I have to pack for hospital, any suggestions on what I should be taking? I’ll be in for less than 23 hours.

Good luck for tomorrow. I will also be thinking of you and saying a few prayers. I know all will go well though and you'll feel 100% after the proceedure when you can eat what you like and not have the gall bladder pains..

I wish you much luck. I am going to pray for you. Father in heaven, please guide the doctors tomorrow. Please remove the stress and anxiety away from Ridgydidge. Let the surgery be successful, and the healing process quick. I ask you in Jesus's name and thank you. Amen. Let us know how you are. I don't think you need to take a thing with you. They will provide everything. Just take a robe. Leave money and jewlery home. Blessings, M&M

Thankyou for your prayers & support, I will probably be spending more time in here over the next week or two, as my husband is setting up the lap top in the comfy chair for me. Miss 10 is under instructions to look after mummy when daddy is at work, (will see how that goes). I am only a phone call away to other helpful adults if needed. I am using the public, health system here, they don’t always supply everything, I’m just trying to remember what I felt most comfortable wearing last time I was in hospital. Free flowing dresses I think, as I didn’t want elastic around the wound.

I just wanted to wish you good luck and hope that the procedure goes well and that you will be feeling much better after the operation. I do not like hospitals either and would be nervous but hopefully your husband will be there with you and help you get through this surgery. I have a friend who is also having problems with her gallbladder and has been seeing specialists. She does not want to have any kind of surgery. Maybe you can take a book to read to take your mind off of things before you have the surgery or a magazine.

Thankyou for your support, my husband will be with me before the op, but has to work, & then look after our child, so will not be able to be with me afterwards. They tell me I will be released approx 8am next morning. I have a palm top / diary that has all my books on it, hopefully I can take that with me, then I am right for things to do, I have about 20 books on there to keep me busy.
