I'm just curious- how many of you moms out there experienced Post-partum depression after having a baby?

oh gosh, I am in the middle of it right now. I had my son 6 months ago and at first I had the baby blues. I got over that fairly easy, now, man oh man, I can not shake this deppression. My doctor assures me that is normal in older mothers, I am 36 and has me taking Xanax .25mg when I feel over whelmed. He also has my husband watching me to be sure I don't go to the far end of post partum. My depression consists of not happy with my hair, so I curl it, I don't like that so i straighten it and rearranging furniture. I guess that's how I deal with whatever is my body is trying to adjust to. At first, I thought that i was going crazy, but when I called my doctor he explained what it was. My mother had told me thought that was what it was. It's been about 3 weeks since I went to the doctor and I am starting to feel alot better and realizing that things are not as bad I think they are. My son is beautiful and healthy and my hubby is awesome, so only time will make this better.
