If you had to write a paper on any literary subject, what would it be? I have to get an idea of subjects due to the fact I have to do a research paper. I figure I would ask you all since we write a lot. Thanks!

The future of books and writing and book stores due to the internet. Now it is easy for anyone to 'publish'. There ae websites where a budding writer can put out ebooks and people can buy them. I would think that if they hit a certain number, maybe they can show publishers that they have a following and show promise. But then I see the writing on here, people can't spell, they use their own shorthand language and wonder what that will do to the next generation of kids who can no longer distinguish between good and bad writing and spelling. I hope this sparks an idea for you.

Deb, Thank you. I hear you on that one. I am a writer and an editor. I don't seem to show it here online but that is because it seems others don't either. Thanks for the information and I may very well write my paper on that.

maybe something to do with being a part of 911, or about the economy today. how people live thier lives in the year 2007. it doesn't seem to be a big deal, but when you go back and read books written in the 1900's,. wow! you wonder how people actually lived through what they did.
